Lake Garda Italy: Quick information Guide Lago de Garda

Picturesque Lake Garda, Italy

Lake Garda Italy

Thirty kilometers from the city of Romeo and Juliet is the picturesque and cleanest Lake Garda in Europe. The reservoir had formed in a glacial-tectonic fault. The setting is breathtaking; it is only 35 kilometers from Milan and Venice, and it lies at the base of the Alps, making it the southernmost pre-Alpine lake (in reality, 140 kilometers are not so far away, but besides). The lake stretched into three provinces; Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino.

Popularity

Lake Garda is especially popular with windsurfers, the steep slopes and winds attract water sports enthusiasts and paragliders. The beaches along the lake have covered with pebbles, there have equipped ones, but there are wild ones, so to speak. So you can enjoy sunbathing. Also, there are 10 diving companies on the lake, so you can explore the coastal and underwater beauty of the lake.

So to come to the lake and not try to ride at least on a boat is a sin.

 Towns In Lake Garda

Around the lake, there are several (if not about a dozen) very cozy Italian towns that are worth visiting to see the local sights and enjoy the scenery.

Moniga Del Garda Town, Lake Garda

 Moniga Del Garda Town

Moniga Del Garda is a small town that has considered the center of the recreation area on Lake Garda. Archaeologists have proven that this area has inhabited as early as 1800-2000 BC. According to legend, the goddess Diana Mukina lived in these parts, and the name of the town of Garda comes from her name. Magnificent historical and natural monuments have scattered along the entire coast of the lake.

Garda Town

Garda Town

The Eponymous town of Garda on the east coast of the lake is a piece of heaven on earth, this place is also called the "Olive Riviera". The town is tiny, with under 4,000 people living here. The town has located on the rock of La Rocca, the height of which is 300 meters, it offers a gorgeous view of the surroundings. In the northwest of the city, there is the magnificent Cape San Vigilio (between Garda and Torri del Benaco), which is a small peninsula with an ancient church, Villa Guarienti, and a cypress park. The town is full of historical sights and architectural monuments. The most beautiful is the Palace of the Captains.

Malcesine Town lake Garda, Lake Garda

 Malcesine Town lake Garda

Another cozy town is Malcesine, the most romantic town on the coast. The town has located at the foot of the cliff of Monte Baldo. Not going up there means missing half the trip, you will never forget the view from the top of your life. At the top, besides the landscapes, amazing views of alpine plants await you. It's a real alpine garden. Only it’s quite cold at the top of the cliff, in July it’s only +15 degrees at the top, so grab something warmer. Here are such interesting green thorns growing on the rocks, I wanted to grow such houses, but no, give them the Alps.

 Riviera Dei Limone, lake Garda

 Riviera Dei Limone

As for the vegetation, the lake has a Mediterranean climate, which contributes to a riot of greenery, oranges, lemons, olive trees, and cypresses growing here. Sometimes the northwestern honor of the reservoir has called the "lemon coast" - Riviera Dei Limone because there are a lot of lemon plantations here. And in the east, there are olive groves, so there is an "olive coast" - Riviera degli Olivi.

The only small inconvenience, or vice versa, the dignity (as anyone) is that it is better to travel here in your car. The infrastructure here is quite developed, the roads are good, though serpentine, but there are problems with urban transport, so it’s better not to depend on trains and buses. By car, you can see everything, or almost everything, faster and more helpful.

 Del Garda Desenzano, Lake Garda

 Del Garda Desenzano

Desenzano del Garda, unquestionably one of the lake's loveliest towns, offers visitors a stunning perspective of both the Alps and the lake. In addition, it features a variety of hotels and three significant beaches: Desenzanino Beach, Spiaggia d'Oro, and Porto Rivoltella Beach. If you're looking for nightlife, Desenzano del Garda also has a thriving nightlife scene. Visit the beaches and stay for the festivities.

Peschiera del Garda, Lake Garda

Peschiera del Garda

The closest town to Gardaland is this adorable one, but it shouldn't be your main motivation for stopping by. You may also visit Braccobaldo Beach, a pet-friendly beach, where you can hang out with your four-legged companions! Even though it is a pebble beach, it is nonetheless one of the most beautiful ones near Lake Garda.

Even in the vicinity of Garda, there is the largest amusement park in Italy, located in the coastal town of Castelnuovo Del Garda in the southeast of the lake.

Foods and Cuisine; Local cuisine will also please gourmets. Here in any town, you can try excellent trout fillet and traditional polenta carbonara dishes

Fruits, Vegetables & Others; Lemon, Olive Groves, Greenery Vegetables, Oranges, Cypresses

Conclusion;

You can observe and write about Lake Garda, the town of Garda, and others, sometimes words are not enough to convey all the beauty that awaits tourists. To some extent, Garda is very like to Lake Como, but the same and not like. To understand, you need to see everything yourself, sometimes before the trip, you think, is it worth it? Is it worth the time and effort spent? But when you arrive, you understand that yes, it is worth it, and for the sake of these moments being closer to nature, the lake, parks ... you understand that it is worth living for this, because this is life itself.
