Skardu Valley
Location
Skardu Valley is located in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Skardu lies in the mid of four districts, Kharmang District, Shiger District, and Ghanche District Of Gilgit Baltistan.
Short History
Skardu region was a cultural and ethical believer of Buddhism before spreading Islam in the region. Buddhist Scriptures were found in this region.
Soon after Shah I Hamdan preached and converted all of them to Islam.
Before the independence of Pakistan, different empires ruled over Skardu,
Maqpoon Raj, Mughal Empires, and Dogra Raaj are head-on lists.
Maharaja Hari Singh of Dogra Raaj was defeated by the Northern Scouts with the help of Major William Brown
on 22 Oct 1947 and affiliated with Pakistan.

Distance and Journey
The distance from Skardu to Islamabad is 647km approximately. Via by road your journey may have 15 hours to 17 hours nowadays.
By air 216km approximately only, it can take 45 minutes only to reach Skardu Valley.
From Gilgit city to Skardu City 200km, Nearly 5 hour's journey from Gilgit to reach Skardu via JSR(Juglot Skardu Road) nowadays. It might be depending on Juglot Skardu Road conditions.

This village is situated on the back-side of Kharpochho fort.

Its distance from Skardu is 15 kilometers only and 2 hours of trekking.
11) Hussain Abad Museum
This Balti Museum is also in Hussain Abad Skardu,
It is owned by Yousaf Hussain Abadi Sb.

12) Khushu (Chumic)
Khushu is also in Gamba Skardu premise to the way of Skardu Airport(KDU)
You can enjoy fresh water, trout fish forming spots, and beautiful scenery there.
The distance from Skardu city is 30 kilometers Approx
and the distance from Gamba Skardu is 8 kilometers only.
